Teen Speaks Out on Marriage

On May 10, 2012, Madeleine McAulay, 16, after North Carolina voted to define marriage as being between a man and a woman, decided to make a YouTube video where she noted that it is actually the 31st state to do so.

On May 15th, Madeleine writes on her Blog, "Last week, following the intense North Carolina Primary, I decided to make a YouTube video regarding the passing of the NC Constitutional Amendment, 'to provide that a marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in this state.'  I knew that posting this video was going to be controversial, but I had no idea..."

On May 23rd, Steve Doocy from Fox News interviewed Madeleine about her views:

Madeleine explains, "I simply believe that traditional marriage is the most productive way, and the Biblical way, to pursue a relationship..."

One verse on her Faith, Hope and Politics Blog speaks volumes, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."  1 Timothy 4:12
