Pink Slime Ground Beef Taste Test

A journalist from the Associated Press recently taste tested a half-pound burger made with "pink slime" and one without, the results, it turns out, "pink slime" doesn't taste very good and had an unpleasant texture.  To view the entire "pink slime" taste testing experience.
Note: "pink slime" is what the meat industry calls "lean, finely textured beef," a low-cost filler made from fatty meat scraps that are heated to remove most of the fat, then treated with ammonium hydroxide gas to kill bacteria such as E. coli and salmonella.

Gov. Targets Major Egg Supplier

Sparboe Farms is the subject of an ABC News investigation to be broadcast today, Friday, Nov. 18th, on "20/20" and "World News with Diane Sawyer" and was cited Thursday by the FDA for "significant and serious violations" in the production of their eggs.

The FDA issued a company-wide warning letter to Sparboe Farms, the country's 5th largest egg producer, citing serious and significant violations at five different locations.  The FDA cited at least 13 violations of the recently enacted federal egg rule meant to prevent dangerous salmonella outbreaks.

The ABC News broadcast will include undercover video taken over the summer inside Sparboe facilities in three states by the animal rights group, Mercy for Animals, that appears to show unsanitary conditions and repeated acts of animal cruelty.

The Mercy for Animals activist who went undercover to record the video inside Sparboe told ABC News chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross, "I saw workers do horrendous things to birds, they were thrown, grabbed by the neck, they're slammed in and out of cages."

Becoming Entirely HIS:
Ultimately God will allow nothing to escape; every detail of our lives is under His scrutiny. God will bring us back in countless ways to the same point over and over again. And He never tires of bringing us back to that one point until we learn the lesson, because His purpose is to produce the finished product. Oswald Chambers
