Pediatrician, Biologist, Organic Raw Dairy Farmer Talk Raw Milk

Kristin Canty, Director/Producer of the Farmageddon Movie, along with Biologist Randolph Jonsson, Pediatrician Dr. Lindy Woodard and Organic Raw Milk Farmer Mark McAfee speak out boldly in favor of raw milk and its benefits Sept. 2011 at the Roxie Theatre in San Francisco.

In the video, Mr. Jonsson claims that not all raw milk is the same, when purchasing raw milk you need to pay special attention to how the cows are raised, if they are grass fed and what type they are.

Lindy Woodard, MD, has been a pediatrian for 30 years, she has been noticing that kids are getting sicker instead of healthier, mothers are looking for answers to why their children have asthma, allergies and other health issues.  Dr. Woodard directs parents to implement a nutritional whole base raw foods diet, which makes a huge difference in the child's health.  For instance, raw milk is loaded with antibodies and healthy factors which a body needs, pasteurized milk actually leaches calcium from the bone.

Petition to Legalize Raw Milk Sales

Legalize Raw Milk Sales on a Federal Level

We petition the Obama Administration to give the people the freedom to choose whether drinking raw milk products is right for them by enabling the legalized sale and distribution of raw milk products across all states.

There are substantial health benefits from raw milk that are not available in pasteurized milk products.

Many of the nutritional, anti-microbial and immune-enhancing components of raw milk are greatly reduced in effectiveness by pasteurization, and completely destroyed by ultra-pasteurization.

For more information on the Benefits of Drinking Raw Milk, go to:
We need 5,000 signatures by Oct. 23, 2011, if you would like to sign the petition to Legalize Raw Milk Sales Across the U.S., go to the "We the People" site at http://wh.gov/gsp

Note:  A whitehouse.gov account is required to sign this petition.  To create an account, go to http://wh.gov/gsp and click on "Create An Account", fill out the form, whitehouse.gov will then send a password to your email address.

2,531 Signatures are still needed by Oct. 23, 2011

Skip the Cola Choose Milk Instead

According to a recent Tufts University study women who drink an average of seven cola-based sodas, including the diet versions, per week, have almost 4% lower bone density in the hip.
Katherine Tucker, PhD, lead study author and senior scientist and director of the Dietary Assessment and Epidemiology Research Program at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University, suggests that it could be possible that phosphoric acid in colas triggers calcium loss from bone.

Skip the Cola, Choose Milk Instead
Milk and dairy products like yogurt and cheese can be very healthy foods, but only if the milk contains all the fat. The butterfat in milk provides important vitamins like A, D and K2, which are needed to help you absorb the calcium, phosphorus and other minerals in the milk. In addition, the butterfat in milk makes it much easier to digest and also less likely to cause illness.

The best milk comes from cows that live outside and eat green grass, and that is unprocessed, that is, it has not been pasteurized or homogenized, in other words, whole raw milk. Studies have shown that raw milk is much better than pasteurized milk for building strong bones and teeth, and for creating resistance to disease. Raw milk protects against allergies and asthma and often improves behavior in children. In the past, raw milk was actually used in clinics to cure disease. You can find a source of raw milk from pasture-fed cows by visiting www.realmilk.com .

SOME INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT RAW WHOLE MILK:
    1. RAW MILK contains an enzyme called lactoperoxidase, which kills bad bacteria; this enzyme doesn't work very well after pasteurization.
    2. RAW MILK contains an enzyme called lacto-ferrin, which prevents anemia; this enzyme doesn't work very well after pasteurization.
    3. RAW MILK contains special substances that help strengthen the digestive tract; when milk is pasteurized, these substances don't work very well and the milk can be very irritating to the digestive tract.
    4. RAW MILK contains special bacteria called lacto-bacilli, when we have a lot of these good bacteria in our digestive tract, we digest our food very efficiently.
    5. RAW MILK contains white blood cells and many other important compounds that are found in blood; for this reason, raw milk supports the immune system. These compounds don't work after pasteurization.
    6. RAW MILK contains many important fats, which support our health in many ways, these fats are damaged during the process of pasteurization and homogenization. source: Healthy 4 Life from the Weston A. Price Foundation, www.westonaprice.org
    An Added Bonus:
According to a study in Medicine and Science in Sport and Exercise, women who drank milk after working out lost more fat than women who drank energy drinks.
